What we do

Air Freight
Where airfreight is the only option, Skyline Global Logistics has a variety of airfreight solutions available. Allowing the customer to choose a service type based on their requirements, these include:

Consolidated Air Freight: cargo moves on one of our many mid-week or weekend consolidations – time is important but not critical.

Priority/Express Air Freight: where time is critical, there are tight deadlines in place – for example: emergency cargo (spares for a production line), medical equipment or high value cargo.

Small Parcel Service: We offer a small parcel service from the USA, Germany and Switzerland – a door-to-door service with an all-in price excluding Duty/Vat, finance charges and insurance if required. Only non-hazardous cargo between 0 and 30kg’s qualify. For more information on this service please contact us.

Full Charter: Where time is of the essence and volumes are high we have the option of full aircraft charters.

Sea Freight
  • Full Container Loads (FCL)
  • Less than Container Load (LCL)
  • Consolidations (multiple orders or suppliers). Benefits being:
    • Less handling = less damage
    • Faster transit times
    • Lower costs = higher profit
    • Door-to-door movement of cargo
  • Break Bulk or out of gauge cargo (non-containerized cargo)
  • Project cargo, being either out of gauge or very high volume shipments requiring more than just transport, clearing and forwarding.

Skyline Global Logistics only contracts with top tier shipping lines and container operators ensuring our clients best interests are always the priority.

Cross Trade
We currently handle cross trade shipments for many of our customers around the globe. Cross trade shipments originate in one country and are delivered to another without entering South Africa. We are able to handle cross trade shipments, efficiently & cost effectively, thanks largely to our global network of owned offices and exclusive agents.
Customs
Skyline Global Logistics is an accredited Customs clearing agent, linked to the South African Revenue Services (SARS) via EDI, allowing efficient and effortless submission of documents for Customs clearance. With a wealth of knowledge and expertise, our Customs department is well equipped to handle most Customs related matters including compliance management such as:

  • Customs clearing
  • Tariff Classification/Determination
  • Valuation rulings
  • Acquittals
  • Handling permits
  • Rebate clearances
  • Carnet cargo
  • Customs stops
Warehousing and Distribution

Skyline Global Logistics provides warehousing and distribution services in all major centers, either from our own facility or through that of a carefully selected partner. Allowing us to offer our customer a real door to door tailored solution, our services include:

  • Storage (Bonded and Non-Bonded)
  • Picking
  • Packing
  • On site crating facility
  • Distribution
  • Dedicated Storage Units
  • Road Freight
Marine Insurance
Skyline Global Logistics is an authorized representative of Prest Group (Pty) Ltd in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 37/2002 under License number 165.

Jointly we are able to offer our customers Marine Insurance necessary to protect their cargo against theft, damage and loss in transit.

Skyline Express
Always seeking to add value to our customers business, the Skyline Express/BEX partnership was born. Enabling us to offer a Domestic and International hand-to-hand courier service. Our services include:

Domestic Courier: Same Day Express; Day Break Delivery; Over Night Courier; Normal Courier and Budget Cargo.

International Courier: International Non Docs; International Documents; International Airfreight; International Express Road Freight; International Imports
